Perched above the shoreline of Lake Austin just north of the Colorado River Dam which separates Lake Austin from Lady Bird Lake sits the Laguna Loma Lake House. The massive Ipe deck provides unsurpassed views of the lake, downtown Austin, the dam, even everyone’s favorite local coffee roasters: Mozart’s. Completely redesigned and renovated by Vogel Builders, this weekend home has custom features inside and out, from the elevator and wood accent walls to the protruding steel box that encompasses the master bedroom. The sizable multi-level Ipe deck is a living space all it’s own with a triangular pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a dining area, a living area and row of lounge chairs, all providing unobstructed views for miles thanks to the steel cable railing. Built by Centex Decks, the Ipe Hardwood decking perfectly compliments the Clear Cedar siding of the home and will stand the test of time as well as any other material used on the exterior. OHC is grateful to have been able to provide the Ipe decking to make this beautiful build truly one of a kind.
