FINEST PLANTATION TEAK
In the past, Overseas Hardwoods Company made an effort to purchase old growth real Burmese Teak from the plentiful supply of Myanmar's (Burma) sustainable forests. Due to the latest military coup and resulting sanctions, we have spent the last year finding the best alternative for our customers. We purchase sustainable, legally harvested Teak from one of the oldest plantations in the world - with most logs being over 40 years of age. Our supplier is within the closest proximity to Myanmar and have been responsible stewards of their forest for decades.
Because responsible harvesting practices are so important to us at OHC, we vet all of our sourcing mills/partners to ensure that harvesting, processing, manufacturing, and shipping meets and exceeds local, state, federal, and international regulations. We personally visit all of our suppliers to ensure our customers are getting the best product available.

WHY TEAK?
When one lists the the attributes of Teak, it almost seems too good to be true. Teak naturally resists rot, insects, and decay - doesn't corrode when in contact with steel - has a beautiful, tight grain and weathers to a regal silver. It is naturally a non-skid surface and is highly stable and easy to mill.
This exceptional lumber species is available in a wide variety of lengths and widths - and can be milled to any profile/dimension you may need for your next project.
