ACC San Gabriel Campus

The newest Austin Community College Campus – located in Leander, TX – is soon to be a national example of the next generation of classroom architecture. Outfitted with a massive two-story library, high-tech classrooms, and a towering main atrium, ACC San Gabriel Campus was designed to inspire students. The interior and exterior siding was no exception. What appears to be wood siding enveloping the exterior and wrapping around the atrium and halls is actually an engineered product called Trespa. Shipped in sheets (Meteon) or a shiplap profile (Pura NFC), Trespa is a decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL) perfect for large commercial projects. 10,500 sq. ft. of Trespa Meteon and 22,560 sq.ft. of Trespa Pura was used on this project. Installed by Texas Roofing Company, a CNC machine was used to create grooves and cut the Meteon panels to look like wood siding. The similarity to the Pura NFC siding is impeccable. This, combined with it’s other impressive architectural features makes the ACC San Gabriel Campus a welcoming place for learning and innovation.
