Edinam/Tiama, a subspecies of African Mahogany, is harvested in Western tropical Africa.
It’s attractive, with a good natural luster and heartwood color ranging from very pale pink
to a rich mahogany brown. Quarter sawn surfaces can resemble ribbon stripes. This species
is moderately resistant to rot and has good working properties with hand and machine tools
for a variety of millwork applications.
